Raffaele Caruso:
A Love That Moves Art

In 1958, tailor Raffaele Caruso left Naples for love. With him, the great school of Neapolitan tailoring arrived in Soragna, a small town in Parma where no tailoring tradition yet existed. Together with his wife, he founded his atelier and began handcrafting tailor-made garments.
What started as a humble workshop grew, through Raffaele’s talent and the entrepreneurial spirit of his sons and collaborators, into Fabbrica Sartoriale Italiana—a company that now employs over 500 people.
By the 1990s, Caruso’s exceptional quality and rare collaborative flexibility caught the attention of the world’s top fashion maisons such as Francesco Smalto, Lanvin, and Dior—who entrusted their collections to the Soragna atelier. Through word-of-mouth and quiet excellence, Caruso became a sought-after partner for the world’s most discerning designers and brands including Berluti and Thom Browne.
To this day, every garment is made in Soragna, a vital ingredient in Caruso’s success. Nestled in the heart of the Bassa Emiliana, Soragna offers not just a workforce, but a terroir: a unique ecosystem of people, passion, and purpose. It’s where love for beauty, craft, and innovation come together—making it the perfect home for Fabbrica Sartoriale Italiana and the spirit of Caruso.
